2025 Micro-Grant Awards

In 2025, the Mendocino County Fire Safe Council partnered with the PG&E Corporation Foundation to award over $150,000 to organizations working to improve wildfire preparedness and resilience around Mendocino County. Twenty applications were funded from fifteen of our affiliated Neighborhood Fire Safe Councils and five local Fire Agencies. The following is a list of grant recipients and their projects.

  • Long Valley FD Defensible Space Assessment program for residents

  • McNab Ranch FSC Purchase radios and water tanks

  • Piercy FD Purchase an emergency generator for the shelter

  • Piercy PSRMA FSC Fuel reduction alongside road

  • Point Arena FSC Host a community wildfire prepared event for seniors

  • Redwood Valley-Calpella FD Reflective Signs and Radios

  • Round Valley FSC Purchase a storage unit for emergency equipment
